CPU Defense
CPU Defense

Your computer is the battlefield. Your files are the enemies. Your CPU is the defense.
CPU Defense is a tower defense game that takes place inside a computer.
Files enter the system and travel across the board toward the EXIT. Your job is to build processing modules, specialize them into different types of towers, and design a system capable of handling everything thrown at it.
But processing files is only part of the problem.
Every module takes space. Files physically interact with each other. Narrow paths can create congestion. Different file types move and behave differently. And sometimes, the most efficient-looking layout isn't actually the best one.
Build. Process. Optimize. Survive all 20 waves.
Current Features
- 20 waves with increasing pressure
- Multiple file types with different speed, size, durability and behavior
- Specialized processing towers with different roles
- Physical file movement — files occupy space and can push, block and interfere with each other
- Free-form board building — design your own processing paths
- System economy based on processing files and maintaining your infrastructure
- Online leaderboard — compete for the best runs
- Interactive tutorial
- Music and sound effects
- Runs playable directly in your browser
How It Works
Files enter through the ENTRY and try to reach the EXIT.
Place modules on the board to shape their route and install processing towers to handle them along the way.
Processed files generate resources that you can reinvest into your system.
Finding a good layout isn't just about maximizing damage. Path length, congestion, tower placement, file movement and infrastructure costs all matter.
The goal is simple:
Finish all 20 waves with the best score you can.
Then see how your system compares on the global leaderboard.
Still in Development
CPU Defense is still an early project.
This version represents the first complete playable loop — essentially the game's MVP.
There is still plenty I want to experiment with: more towers, upgrades, file behaviors, system mechanics, balancing and probably a few ideas that don't exist yet.
For now, though, the machine works.
Mostly.
Good luck keeping yours alive.
